Twin
Vee expands dealer network for voyage to market leadership
FORT PIERCE -- Twin Vee
Inc., North America’s largest builder of catamaran fishing boats, will
continue its progress toward market dominance when it launches its
first-ever series of dealer meetings here Nov. 7-12.
Dealership owners and sales professionals from across the country will
gather at the 80,000-square-foot production headquarters to learn about
the significantly upgraded products and strengthened company commitment
to helping dealers succeed.
More than 30 dealerships from California to the Northeast will be
present, most with multiple staff members, said Bob Chew, director of
sales and marketing. Ten of the dealerships have joined Twin Vee within
the past year.
Chew, a marine industry veteran with 25 years of sales experience, said
the importance of the dealer meetings and adding more dealerships can’t
be emphasized enough.
“We have made so many significant changes to the product and the
marketing of the product over such a short period of time. It is
essential that our dealers have this opportunity to experience and
understand all the changes in person so that they might better present
the product to customers,” he said.
As Twin Vee’s popularity has grown across the country over the past
decade, so has the need for dealer representation, Chew said.
Thousands of the company’s power catamarans are plying Pacific,
Caribbean and Atlantic waters and the public’s awareness of the
soft-riding, ruggedly built boats is ever-increasing, he said.
Helping existing dealers to become more successful and finding
successful dealers to represent Twin Vee have been two of Chew’s
passions since he joined the company in November 2003.
“Twin Vee has always had strong, soft-riding boats and strong
dealerships committed to customer service. The company has worked hard
lately to upgrade the level of our quality in many ways, both for the
boat’s fit and finish and for the support to the dealers,” Chew said.
“We’re giving them products that are easier on the eyes, easier to use,
easier to sell and easier to service. And we’re going to give them more
sales and service support. It’s all part of our mission to become the
clear leader in our power catamaran market by getting to customers the
value they won’t find anywhere else,” he said.
The dealer meetings will provide the first chance for more than 100
dealers and sales professionals to take a close look at the company’s
expanded production facility and discuss plans for other vessels on the
drawing board since a change in ownership and management last year.
Gene Myers, owner at Paradise Marine Center in Gulf Shores, Ala., joined
the list of dealers in June. The reason? “The company has grown and the
product has changed for the better and that is what convinced me to
become a dealer,” he said.
Myers said it is important for dealers and their staff to see new boats
in the production process and to “put a face with a name” when talking
with other Twin Vee dealers in the future. “I’m sending my salesman to
this dealer meeting. It’s a good idea for him to see how it is built and
the quality that goes into it,” Myers said.
Twin Vee president David East emphasized that the many product
enhancements did not compromise the soft ride, ease of ownership and
dollar-for-dollar value that propelled Twin Vee from a dinghy-based,
mini-warehouse existence and into a nationally recognized brand name in
just under a decade.
Market statistics show that Twin Vee is building some 40 percent of the
fiberglass catamaran fishing boats in North America. And that market
share is increasing thanks to dealer input that encouraged adding more
standard features to the boats, Chew said.
A comprehensive, product-by-product summary of enhancements is available
by contacting a Twin Vee dealer or by viewing the company’s
www.twinvee.net Internet
site.
East said Twin Vee will be introducing several vessel versions in the
coming year in response to customer demand. The push for better products
and more choices for vessel configuration are part of the company’s
corporate strategy to strengthen its position as the top producer of
powered catamarans in North America.
