Twin Vee PowerCats can be considered a boat
company that has gotten the ride right for a catamaran, combining the
natural stability and heavy sea advantage that catamarans offer and the
performance that monohulls can only dream about. Based in Port St. Lucie,
Florida, Twin Vee has developed an impressive line of catamarans.
To add to the ever-growing demand of catamarans,
Twin Vee recently introduced its 26' Hawaiian Sport Fisherman model at the
Miami International Boat Show. The Hawaiian Fisherman series is available
in both 22' or26'. These boats feature huge cockpit space behind the
seating with over 56 ft in the 22' and 80 ft in
the 26' model. The Hawaiian also features a lockable cabin with good
access forward, ample storage, a Porta-Potti and a single-size berth,
upholstered in high quality nautical print acrylic fabric.
As one might expect from a successful catamaran
builder, the Twin Vee is an extremely strong boat. Each hull is built with
multiple layers of hand-laminated, 18-oz woven roving fiberglass and
polyester resins. Twin Vee is the only foam-filled, self-bailing catamaran
in its size range, and to back up the quality of the hulls' construction,
Twin Vee has a Limited Lifetime Hull Warranty.
The 22' Hawaiian Sport Fisherman has a maximum
horsepower rating of 240 hp: the 26' a rating of 300 hp.
Twin Vee models
require far less power than other comparable sized catamarans, i.e. a pair
of 115 hp 4-stroke Suzuki engines will Produce speeds up to 43 mph.
Smaller engines translate into lower initial costs and better fuel
economy. Even with smaller engines Twin Vee PowerCats will plane on a single engine
and bring you home at planing speed, a testament to the hulls' efficiency
through the water.
With this great hull efficiency, strong
construction and super performance, you can expect the Twin Vee to hit
your wallet far less than most other catamarans. But, if you really want
help in making up your mind, go for a test ride on a Twin Vee. Once you
have ridden a Twin Vee PowerCat in the same conditions that you would
normally think twice about going out on, the value of this purchase
decision will become quite clear.

Twin Vee Weekender Cabin Series
For those who have the Cruiser's
mentality and want a dry, soft-riding boat for weekend getaways,
Twin Vee has the perfect power catamaran. It is called the Weekender
Cabin and it is offered in a 22' and 26' model, built in Port Saint
Lucie, Florida.
The new Weekender Cabin series features a
large cabin with good access forward. Inside this spacious cabin you
will find a queen-size berth, upholstered in high quality nautical print acrylic
fabric; Great storage; a Porta-Potti; and a counter with fresh-water
sink. No other boat of equal size can compare to the spaciousness
offered in the Weekender for sleeping. The Weekender is also built
with
multiple layers of hand-laminated, 18-oz woven roving fiberglass and
polyester resins. Twin Vee is the only foam-filled, self-bailing catamaran
in its size range. And to back up the quality of the hulls' construction,
Twin Vee has a Limited Lifetime Hull Warranty.
The 22' Weekender has a maximum
horsepower rating of 240 hp: the 26' Weekender 300 hp; far less than other comparable sized
catamarans. However, you'll find that the Weekender runs very well
with more conservative power. A pair
of 115 hp four stroke outboards on the 26' Weekender or a pair of 90 hp
4-strokes on the 22' Weekender would give you ample speed and great
fuel economy. The Weekender will plane on a single engine at
surprising speed.
The specifications of the
Weekenders are the same as the Hawaiian Sport Fisherman, except
they are 100 lbs heavier, respectively.
